Slow Cooker Applesauce

Makes 12 servings | Gluten-free and dairy-free

Step 1

6 apples
½ c. water
2 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp  maple syrup
3/4 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Peel and core apples. Chop into chunky pieces.
  2. Place in crockpot.
  3. Mix together water, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla. Pour over apples.
  4. Cook on low for 4 hours or until soft.
  5. Mash with a hand masher to make chunky-style applesauce or use a hand mixer for smoother applesauce.
  6. Transfer to mason jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
